Education for All - Tackling homophobia in education
This is a campaign developed by Stonewall, FFLAG and LGBT Youth Scotland. The website brings together practical resources and information for both education professionals and young people to support and enable them to identify and deal effectively with homophobic bullying.

Eco SchoolsEco Schools
Eco Schools is an international initiative designed to encourage whole-school action for the environment. It is an environmental management tool, learning resource and recognised award scheme. It is run in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful and receives support from the Scottish Executive. Their new website is here.

Learning and Teaching Scotland
LT Scotland is a public body sponsored by the Scottish Executive to help review, assess and support developments in learning and education, including the use of information and communications technology (ICT). Sections of their website relating to Ethos include: Education for Citizenship, Inclusive Education, Health Promoting Schools, Parentzone and many more.

The National Priorities website has resources to take forward the National Priorities in Education. The National Priorities Support Team can be contacted at Learning and Teaching Scotland on 0141 337 5151 or by email.

Learning and Teaching ScotlandA new website about sectarianism, funded by SEED, was launched in March 2005. It includes animated scenarios, role play scripts, examples of good practice, sections for teachers and youth workers, resources, and an under-18's section.

Resources from the SSEN

WATCH OUT for a new resource in the Summer! In July SSEN will be distributing a booklet to SSEN members highlighting ethos-related resources, including SSEN resources, such as Case Studies, Newsletters, speeches at conferences etc.

New SSEN case study 43, June 2005 features Our Lady's High School, Cumbernauld and looks at 'the use of restorative practices as an integral part of supporting pupils' learning, social inclusion and building a positive school ethos'.

SSEN conference papers from the 'Ethos - Why Bother?' conference in September 2004 are available online. They include a paper from Millbank Primary in Nairn which described a Staged Intervention Approach, and an Outline Paper from Torry Academy in Aberdeen describing creating a positive ethos as a 'recipe with many ingredients'.

The last SSEN Conference, being held in Edinburgh on 7 June 2005, 'How Good is our Ethos?', has guest speakers Prof. John MacBeath, Prof. Brian Boyd, and Grace Gunnell, as well as seminars, workshops and displays including book displays.
